The liver is the largest organ in our bodies and is a vital part of our day. Most of us are guilty of taking our liver health for granted and don’t consider the hard work it does until something goes wrong. While we aren’t able to feel our liver working, it plays a vital part in nearly all body functions from skin conditions to detoxifying our blood. Taking care of this busy organ is important as it serves as a protector of sorts to your body. Damage to or malfunctioning of our liver can result in serious, potentially life-threatening conditions. Sounds pretty severe, right? Take a look below to see how you can support your liver naturally and keep this organ working in tip-top shape.

Hanna’s List of Foods to Support Liver Health

Glass of carrot juice– To detoxify the liver drink carrot juice after breakfast.

– A healing breakfast for the liver (and intestine) is 2 tablespoons ground flaxseed, 2 tablespoons whey, and 2 apples peeled and finely grated. Mix these ingredients and serve with honey.

– To stimulate the liver mix a ½ teaspoon of nutmeg into one cup hot water, drink.

– Hanna listed white beans, artichokes, yams, allspice, and apples as being food for the liver.

Herbs for Liver Support

Milk Thistle is a powerful herb for liver health and has been used for thousands of years as a remedy for liver ailments. The function of this herb in your liver is to protect from toxins, including certain drugs such as acetaminophen (Tylenol), which causes damage in high doses. Milk Thistle has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties and is believed to assist the liver in repairing itself by growing new cells. This herb is often suggested as a treatment for cirrhosis of the liver, mushroom poisoning, and viral hepatitis.

Dandelion Root is a liver strengthener, cleanser, and is useful in improving liver function. Dandelion leaf is often used to help with liver disorders. This “weed” that is a nuisance in our yards is actually a great benefit to our bodies!

Hanna blended Goldenrod, Goldenseal root, and Clove bud together in her Liver Formula to provide a nourishing herbal food to support healthy liver function. This trio also harmonizes digestion, promotes healthy elimination, cleanses the blood, resolves mucus accumulations and relieves stagnation.  This formula is both cleansing and tonifying and is a powerful liver support.

Herbs and foods are effective ways to support your liver naturally. While unhealthy liver function is difficult to detect, there are signs to watch for: intolerance to greasy or spicy foods, weight gain, frequent headaches, indigestion, chronic constipation, skin conditions (such as eczema, psoriasis or rashes), bowel problems, or sinus and allergy problems.

  • Releasing Anger

[…] Because she believed that releasing anger was so important, Hanna warned that not following these simple steps and allowing anger and hate to set up in your body could cause allergies, flu, hives, mood swings, and emotional upsets. Hanna created the vibropathic Anger to address emotional health and recommended combining this remedy with relaxation techniques, her hands-on procedure, sufficient rest, and a proper diet. Hanna warned us that anger can become hate and that hate is extremely destructive to the liver. Our liver already works to detoxify chemicals and remove environmental poisons from our bodies and does not need to have the stress of hatred added to it. If you are concerned with the health of your liver there are several natural approaches to addressing its proper function and wellness. Milk Thistle has been used to support liver health for over 2,000 years and studies show it can reverse liver cell damage and normalize elevated levels of liver enzymes. Hanna’s herbal combination Liver Formula is a blend of Goldenrold, Goldenseal root, and Cloves to maintain healthy liver function and the Liver Cleanse Kit, designed by Hulda Clark, cleanses and rejuvenates the liver and gallbladder.
